Exes' bio claims the band is a "loud as fuck, thrash and roll band," and one listen through "Nothing But The Knife" proves that to be a bit of an understatement. Exes is certainly loud as fuck, but the band covers a ton of ground with just one song far beyond thrash. More importantly though is the fact that Exes can write a riff and wield it like a deadly weapon, and then make it continue to be interesting throughout the entire song.
