Carnifex recently announced its new record Slow Death, due out August 5, and the band's frontman stated that the album would essentially define a new leg of the band's genre. Having heard that approximately 100,000 times this year already from other bands, I was naturally skeptical… though I think he was dead on.
"Drown Me In Blood" sounds like Dimmu Borgir sat down with Carnifex and wrote a song, and then listened to some old melodic death metal for the guitar solos. What the fuck!
