Awright, finally one debut I can agree with, and as much as I enjoy the other artists, their debuts are far from Appetite…that's a beast of an album that has stood the test of time sounding as fresh, dangerous and provocative as the very first day.

I never really got into them, but yes–apetite was a pretty major debut–no doubt about it. But it was more of a crossover rock thing, wasn't it?

That said, is guns'n'roses a metal band? They were played on mtv during the day. Metal bands played after midnight on saturday.

Hell yea…best Album still in my life & was already very into my metal before this came out & it just took me on a ride with it's introduction threw to the end & left me wanting more & still does….
I was lucky enough to see them live in the UK back in 1988 & i feel they are well deserved in this top 10 but maybe should be N°1 ?
Rock God's spawned from the jungle of life with a true appetite.
    Nick.

At least you didn't get Pasbani's dipshit opinion on this one…

This was a truly harmful and demoralizing album which socially devastated and morally corrupted countless innocent young lives back when it was released, yet the irreparable harm continues to this very day because those vile and reprehensible songs only serve to promote heavy drinking and rampant drug use, in addition to encouraging extreme violence against women as well!

      I hope you're being sarcastic.
If metal and hard rock lyrics offend you, I seriously advise picking something else to listen to.
Or you're just one of these do gooder SJWs who sole purpose is to piss on other people' parades for your own self gratification.

One of my favourite albums of all time from one of my favourite bands of all time.
But not metal. These guys were hard rock through and through.
