In true two-year-album-cycle fashion, Whitechapel have posted the above picture that they're once again in the studio! We even have some teasers for you!
Well, teasers from a little while ago… but that still counts! It's new Whitechapel music and it's more than likely being recorded within the coming weeks. Along with the above picture, the band captioned it with:
First day at #audiohammerstudios with @MarkLewis720 tightening up songs before starting drum tracking.
So we know that Mark Lewis is producing the record and that they're at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, FL. It's not much to go on, but needless to say I'm pretty stoked about it! Their self-titled in 2012 was a massive jump in sound, incorporating a lot more riffing and even some Slipknot sounding stuff. It's also my favorite by the band so far, second only to A New Era of Corruption. What will album five be like? We'll have to wait and see… but I'll bet it's going to be sick!
