STONE SOUR Plans On Covering BAD BRAINS, MÖTLEY CRÜE, Etc. On Two More Covers EPs

It doesn't mean that Stone Sour is over!

It doesn't mean that Stone Sour is over!

Among an ocean of cool releases that came out on Record Store Day, Stone Sour dropped a covers EP titled Meanwhile In Burbank. The EP saw the group cover the likes of Alice In Chains, Metallica, Kiss and a few other notable metal bands! So if you're a fan of the EP like I am, then you'll be excited to know the Stone Sour will be doing two more at some point in the near future.

According to vocalist Corey Taylor on The Jasta Show, the next two EPs will be called Straight Out Of Burbank and No Sleep 'Til Burbank and will feature more awesome covers.

"The next [collection of covers], just to give you a little hint, it's got everything from Bad Brains to Mötley Crüe on it. And then the third one is gonna probably have everything from Violent Femmesto Rage Against the Machine."

Taylor also said just because the band is doing a few covers doesn't mean Stone Sour is over.

"There's obviously the little bit of negativity where everybody's just, like, 'Oh, well, they're doing covers. They're over.' And it's, like, that's not exactly why we're doing it, assholes. So just settle down and go back to your troll den and figure it out."

Bring it! Taylor said the releases are just to "fill in the blanks" right now, meaning there's a new record on the way sooner or later?
