So there's this band called Powerwolf, see. And they're as awesome as their name sounds. But you've probably never heard of them because they're a German power metal band, and power metal isn't cool enough for metalheads in the United States. Still, you should check out their new album, Preachers Of The Night, when it's released this summer because it's almost certainly going to kick serious butt.
Unlike most power metal bands, Powerwolf focus on darker sounding music and diabolical lyrical themes. They released their first album, Return In Bloodred, in 2005 and, since then, they've made 3 more albums that have been progressively better than the one before – and Return In Bloodred was pretty sweet to begin with. Powerwolf haven't announced a definite release date yet. But Preachers Of the Night should hit shelves sometime this summer via Napalm Records.
