KILLSWITCH ENGAGE Is Tracking A New Album While On Tour

Killswitch Engage has been on tour with Anthrax and Havok since January 25, and will be on tour until March 4. Despite being out on the road, frontman Jesse Leach tells KFMX that the band is tracking a new album while out on the road and hope to have the whole thing done "in the next 6-7 months." Leach says the band has the drum tracks completed and bass tracks are also being laid down.

Assuming the band does actually get the recording done in the next six or seven months, that puts the timetable around August or September to begin the mixing and mastering process. So we might actually not get a new Killswitch Engage album in 2018, but very early 2019 does seem reasonable with that timetable.

"We're deep into a record. Actually on the road, here, Mike, our bass player, tracks on days off. We've got the drums done. We're just working as fast as we can to get it wrapped up—we've got about 20 songs to choose from. We're ready to crank out a record in the next 6-7 months, hopefully, and get that thing done."

Killswitch Engage has previously announced they were recently in the studio recording a new song and a cover for the WWE. You can get the remaining dates for Killswitch Engage's tour with Anthrax and Havok below.
