KERRY KING Says He Wrote A New SLAYER Song About "Trump's Nonsense" & "Republicans Fuckng Things Up"

"I try to make it vague enough so that anyone in any country can relate to it."

"I try to make it vague enough so that anyone in any country can relate to it."

Kerry King has made it no secret that he's not a fan of current U.S. President Donald Trump. Before the election, he said Hillary Clinton is the only "safe" choice for president and recently he remarked how he turns on CNN everyday "just to see what fucking idiocy this guy's said that day," referring to Trump.

Well, I guess the domestic events of the last year have inspired Kerry to pen a new Slayer song about Trump. ThePRP notes that King was interviewed by Snowboard Magazine and revealed he wrote a new song about Trump, and his political party, the Republicans:

“I think Trump is a more individual ideology, for sure. The band, you know, whenever I try and address political songs, which we do, I can’t say we don’t, but I will base it on the US Government because that’s the government I know, but I try to make it vague enough so that anyone in any country can relate to it.

I hate my chancellor, or, I hate my prime minister, I hate my government, I try to make it so that anyone can get something out of it, because if it was pinpointed at America, only Americans would love that song – or hate that song depending on what I say in it. I have one on the next record that is basically about Trump’s nonsense, but it’s really going to be about the republicans just fucking things up.”

You might recall, a few backs, Kerry King noted that they still have eight completed songs left over from the last album recording sessions and that he hopes to record next year. It looks like King is moving full speed ahead, even though frontman Tom Araya has expressed some reservations about recording new music.

Araya pushed back on the idea of a new Slayer album until he and King could resolve some business matters in a recent interview, and in the past has made no secret of the fact that he's pretty much over touring at this point.

On top of all that, it will be interesting to see Araya's reaction to the lyrics after the band's social media fiasco with a photoshopped photo of Trump, which the rest of Slayer distanced themselves from. Araya hasn't been clear on what his stance on Trump actually is, saying he just found the photo funny, as recent interviews show he might not be a fan of Trump either.
