Jeff Loomis may no longer be in Nevermore, but that certainly won't stop him from bringing the world his shredtastic abilities. He is set to enter the studio on August 23rd to begin recording his second solo album (his first being the excellent Zero Order Phase). Loomis plans to bring in vocalist Christine Rhoades (who has appeared on some Nevermore tracks) to sing on three tracks on the record. Soilwork's Dirk Verbeuren will provide drumming. Your head will provide the explosions once you hear what Loomis is cooking up. I can only assume that last part since I haven't heard the record yet, but it is sure to be a winner.
