Unlike the gap between 2013's Das Seelenbrechen and 2016's Arktis, you won't have to wait for Emperor frontman Ihsahn to release a new album! Ihsahn has announced he'll be hitting Sonic Attic Studio in Notodden, Norway with drummer Tobias Ørnes Andersen (Shining [the Swedish one], ex-Leprous) next week to track what will become his seventh studio album since 2006.
No word on if he'll get any cool guests like on Arktis when he snagged Trivium's Matt Heafy, Shining's Jørgen Munkeby, and Leprous's Einar Solberg, but who knows. It's still early on in the process!
