Sumerian Records has been on a tear lately. A few weeks back, they announced the signing of The Dillinger Escape Plan and today, there is a new signing announced, Ice T's rap metal band Body Count is now on the label.
Ice himself made the announcement via Twitter:

This is not the first hip-hop related signing by Sumerian, as they announced a deal with Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs N Harmony a while back, for a 2010 release.
This poses some interesting opportunities:
- Will Body Count and Dillinger co-headline next year's Summer Slaughter?
- Will we be hearing guest solos on the Body Count album by Michael Keene of The Faceless or groove master Marc Okubo of Veil of Maya?
- Likewise, will there be a guest vocal appearance by Ice T on the new Periperhy or Born Of Osiris album?
