Months after hearing rumors about the new HOUR OF PENANCE release (and indulging the hell out of The Vile Conception to get through this abominable wait), I am beyond stoked to reveal that Unique Leader Records hath mercy on us all – they recently loaded two tracks for fans to preview: “Paradogma,” and “The Woeful Eucharisty.” Both are fresh off of the band’s upcoming release, entitled Paradogma.
Recorded in Rome, Italy (the very cradle of this brutal death metal outfit), it is set to hit the shelves on March 31, 2010. That would make this their fourth studio album release and follow-up to The Vile Conception, which was hailed as one of the “Top 5 Albums of 2008” by death metal titan Alex Webster (CANNIBAL CORPSE, HATE ETERNAL, BLOTTED SCIENCE) himself. This only helped to solidify what was the band’s status as a producer of unabashed, no-prisoners’ brutality today. Throw that in with their merciless track record of gigs, festivals, and similar death metal outputs from frontman Francesco Paoli’s side-project – FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE– and you can expect only great things from these emerging modern death metal icons.
