EARTH Wrapping Up Recording First New Album In Four Years

Out in 2018, we hope.

Out in 2018, we hope.

Earth offered a solid amount of new material between 2011 and 2014 with the two Angels of Darkness, Demons of Light records and the standalone album Primitive And Deadly. Earth mastermind Dylan Carlson then focused his energies on other projects for a little bit, only to recently announce that he and the band are just about done recording a new Earth album.

Obviously no timeline is available for the album just yet, but I'd imagine it'll be out late 2018 the earliest. It'll be cool to see if Earth does anymore with vocals like they did on Primitive And Deadly too, where the largely instrumental group recruited vocalists Mark Lanegan (Mark Lanegan, ex-Queens of the Stone Age) and Rabi Shabeen Qazi (Rose Windows).
