DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN And GIRAFFE TONGUE ORCHESTRA Releases Confirmed For 2016

We're so damn close to two amazing records.

We're so damn close to two amazing records.

The Dillinger Escape Plan has been periodically teasing a new record over the past few months, while Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, consisting of the latter plus members of Mastodon and Alice In Chains, has been teasing a record since 1962 (or something like that). Now both bands have something in common besides a new album in 2016 – they're both a part of the partnership between Ben Weinman's Party Smasher Inc. and Cooking Vinyl!

Here's what the press release had to say about the new joint effort, which includes new albums by the aforementioned, as well as a physical release of Primitive Weapons' The Future Of Death album that's out now.

Party Smasher Inc, the multi-faceted collective founded by Ben Weinman (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra), has announced a global partnership with Cooking Vinyl.

A network for cultural saboteurs of various disciplines – music, art, fashion, and beyond – Party Smasher was established by Weinman in 2009 as a way to unite and empower creative people doing things their own way. He explains: “I was well into my twenties, with a college degree and a corporate job, playing music with no intention of generating money or some massive fanbase. Before I had even realized it, I was making 100% of my living creating art. How did this happen? Because we ignored ‘the rules.’ It wasn’t until I started living my artistic life with that mindset that I became a responsible creator – one who could move people through honest expression. And that is what Party Smasher Inc is all about. We are here to celebrate the artists that are following their own path, undeterred by the trends.”

One of the many ventures currently in motion under the Party Smasher Inc umbrella is a record label with three heavy-hitting releases in 2016.

So there you have it. Party Smasher Inc. is now a label under Cooking Vinyl and you'll be getting three fucking awesome releases from it in 2016. I guess the worst part of this is that there aren't any definite release dates, but whatever – they're coming.
