DANZIG's Cover Album To Include BLACK SABBATH, ZZ TOP & THE EVERLY BROTHERS

Danzig just celebrated his 60th birthday and there's no stopping him now. Danzig just revealed a bit more info about his covers album, including a Black Sabbath cover! The last time Glenn Danzig covered Black Sabbath, it was for those excellent Nativity in Black compliations and he offered an awesome industrialized cover of "Hand of Doom"

This gets me really excited for Danzig's upcoming Skeletons EP which will feature a cover of the Sabbath classic "N.I.B." And why am I so excited? I want to hear Danzig's spin on it. Those worried about a direct-copy cover, fear not, Danzig made it clear to Rolling Stone that's not what he's about:

"My attitude with covers is, make it your own or else leave it alone."

And the way he described how he created his Sabbath cover sounds great too:

"It's one of the Sabbath songs I really liked, and the first Sabbath record is pretty groundbreaking," he explains. "I just dropped it down to a half beat, pulled all the bass out of the beginning, and it's just drums, guitar and vocals. When the chorus comes in, it's just big old bass chords and church bells."

Danzig goes on to reveal a few more tracks for the covers EP:

Troggs' "A Girl Like You"
ZZ Top's "Rough Boy"
The Litter's "Action Woman"
The Everlys' "Crying in the Rain"
Davie Allan & The Arrows's "Devil's Angels"

Danzig also confirmed he has a covers EP of all Elvis songs and an original album on-deck, but no release dates just yet. Rolling Stone accompanied the article with a pretty killer video interview where Danzig reveals when he put on the skull makeup for the first time and how he got into punk…
