We like Cult Leader. We used to like Gaza, but then rape accusations flew and the band broke up shortly thereafter. Cult Leader formed from the ashes of Gaza and includes everyone from Gaza aside from new vocalist Anthony Lucero. Cult Leader went on to drop a sick record this year and all was right with the world.
Now the band announced they'll be recording a new 7" with Andy Patterson this December and a new album with Converge's own Kurt Ballou at his God City Studio in March. There aren't any release dates on either one, but I'm sure it's more than safe to assume we'll see both of them in 2015. Both of the releases will be out via Deathwish Inc. Records, which is owned by Converge's Jacob Bannon.
Converge and Cult Leader, sitting in a tree… they should tour together. Just saying.
