To paraphrase my good friend Axl Rosenberg: Cryptopsy, still a thing. Truthfully, I assumed the band had broken up after pretty much everybody shit all over The Unspoken King, but I guess not. Guitarist Jon Levasseur has rejoined the fold in the band, and he was, according to the press release, a major creative contributing force behind None So Vile, Whisper Supremacy, And Then You'll Beg…, inarguably the band's best releases. Previous guitarist Youri Raymond shifts over to bass as their previous bassist Eric Langois was totally over it and quit.
The band has already completed three new songs and expect a late 2011 release. I guess I am curious to see what these guys pull off, because no matter how much that last album sucked, I am still a huuuuuge fan of drummer Flo Mounier and will gladly check out any of his work.
