CONVERGE Begin Recording New Album

Wow, 2012 is going to kick some fucking ass. New releases are on the horizon from Lamb of God, Meshuggah, Pig Destroyer, Cynic and even motherfucking Converge. While we thought Converge would have a new LP out in 2011, early in the year guitarist Kurt Ballou crushed our expectations. Well, a whole year has passed, and certainly the band has done a lot of writing. But when would they enter the studio? Two days ago, they posted this to their Facebook page:

One more writing/refining session, then recording will begin. More news soon…

That means as you are reading this the band could be recording in Ballou's Godcity studio. I am so excited that I am currently pounding through the band's discography. Also, I will be looping this bootleg of a new song. Fuck yes, Converge in 2012! [via Converge's Facebook]

It's going to be called "All We Love We Leave Behind". Sounds like something The Cure would call an album.
