Fans had to wait four years between Borknagar's 2012 album Urd and 2016 album Winter Thrice. Fortunately it seems like the wait might be a little shorter this time around, as the band has taken to Instagram to announced they're done writing a new album.
This will also be Borknagar's first album since 2006's Origin that will not feature guitarist Jens F. Ryland, who quit the band earlier this year. Ryland has not yet been replaced and Øystein Garnes Brun remains the band's only guitarist currently.
