It's been three years since Baroness' big comeback album Purple, which means it's about time for a new color. Frontman and guitarist John Baizley tells Heavy in a new interview that the band is trying to get the record all wrapped up so they can start playing new songs live, and that the record is almost done being recorded.
He says he hopes to have it out in 2018.
"It's mostly recorded, but that doesn't mean we don't still have a ton of work to do on it. So it's back from this [European] tour, straight back to work – in fact, we're doing a little bit of work whilst on tour … We're really just racing to the finish line trying to get the record out so we can start introducing new songs to the setlist."
This will also be Baroness' first new album with guitarist and vocalist Gine Gleason, who you can also catch in action on the new episode of Two Minutes To Late Night.
