Saw this last night, worst song they played that evening. The faceless are one of the better deathcore bands, but in contrast to suffocation that night you can really see how fucking gay they are. people were singing along and waving their lighters and cell phones in the air like it was a dave matthews band concert. not saying the faceless arnt good, im just saying its sad theyre considered deathmetal and headlining over decrepit birth.

Stfu elitist prick. The faceless are clearly NOT core and never have been. Just because they don't have shitty 4-track production like "true" metal doesn't mean they are "core". They have no hardcore elements at all.
OT: this sounds killer. Can't wait for a new album.
This band is about as Deathcore as Necrophagist. The Faceless are Technical Death metal, and they are one of the select few bands, along with Obscura, Neuraxis, Psycroptic, Decrepit Birth, and Necrophagist. That are helping to push Tech and Progressive metal, to another level.
Agalloch, if you feel that the band is gay because the crowd is acting gay, by holding up lighters and shit. Do something about, Knock some kids on thier ass and stir some shit up. Scared your going to get beat up? Because only pussies stand around at metal shows!

The Faceless are an experimental band so dont expect to be pleased by EVERYTHING you hear in their music. They do have break downs on their past albums, but they dont abuse them like 95% of any core bands do.

I think Matthew nailed it. I had thought he said The Analog Reality, but when i listen to it more closely that's definitely not it. Their set was great. I was impressed by how clean they sound live. As this was not one of my favorite songs, I will still give it a chance when it comes out on album.
Agalloch22.....you can't even properly classify the band so don't talk shit. They're technical death metal and always have been. If you think they're deathcore, then you have been listening to the wrong music buddy. I didn't see anyone waving cellphones and lighters and I was right by the stage. They were not headlining over anyone, they were supporting. Don't be an idiot. Silence your misinformed mouth.

Sounds pretty badass. hard to tell what the song actually sounds like, but i'm sure once they release the recorded version we'll all love it. they will probably add or change stuff too, just like whenever the first live version of Xenochrist was recorded. can't wait, i'm a huge fan of them

Actually it's called "The Eidolon Reality", they just released the name on facebook.
They played this song when I saw them last week but they already changed some of it, this one is a little different.
