lol Awesome! I'm so happy to see these guys get some TV time in. They have worked so damn hard for so long, glad to see it finally paying off after 25 years.
That was god awful, no wonder they never made it anywhere. I don't even think pot would help this song.
that was embarrassing.... nuff said
I checked out that Metal on Metal album. The reason these guys never "made it" is because they're terrible.
I don't get why they keep playing this song. Why not play a new song off the newly re-released album they did on the Doc?
dude who says pot anymore its fucking weed get it right and these guys suck ass.
Actually I think pot would make this song funny as hell! haha His singing sounds really weird, just not in a good way... lol
Amen to Zethus. Even if their stuff isn't that great, the fact that they've stuck with it for 25 years without selling out or becoming a bunch of pricks is something to be proud of. Good job Anvil, you guys give musicians a good name.
These guys inspired Metallica. :\ Watch their rockumentary, it's even more depressing.
The only reason these guys are "in" now is because everyone feals sorry for them. haha this guy is a fucking Gomer.
what reasons do we have on this auspicious occasion of having sore losers make dumb comments?
Jealouslu. Or just plain fools with nothing better to say.
ANVIL were the ones who inspired many bands that are around today. Those that appear to be stupid just haven't got a brain for musical metal history.
ANVIL=BADASS and fuck all those record companies who screwed them over
As a long time Anvil fan (28 years) I never even really cared for this song too much. But they have plenty of other songs that kick ass! As others have said, they influenced bands like Metallica & Anthrax & Slayer. That in itself is enough to give them a place in metal lore.
Based on some of the negative comments here, I seem to think that some of these folks are not into metal, otherwise they would know of them and this wouldn't be the first time they heard/saw them. Either that or they're just young folks (under 35. Sad for me to say that).
Also, Rob Reiner is one of the absolute best drummers out there. All metal drummers definitely cited him as an influence. His double bass action was (IS!) second to none. I saw them a few months ago and they kicked ass.
Finally, even if you're not a metal head and don't like them here, I suggest you watch their movie/documentary. It's really good and got rave reviews. My girlfriend who is totally NOT a metal totally loved it and especially love the singer, who portrays a dedicated yet very frustrated man who works in a regular day job in a food for children company. No egos on this one at all. A lot of humor and even a few tears.
SEE IT YOU HATERS!!! LOL!!! :)
