why is it every time a band gains momentum people start to trash them and try to drag them back down to the "local, underground, cool, no radio airplay" band they use to be? it's a natural progression. people get upset that they are not the band they could check out every month in Springfield for $5 bucks along with 3 other bands on a Sunday afternoon. once other people outside of Springfield find out who they are and it's not the intimate, up and coming band, all of the sudden the band doesn't know how to play good music, they are sell outs, their passion is gone, and a bunch of other horse shit. Jason gave Stigmata major credibility, took Burning Human's 15 year old songs and helped them finally press a cd out and helped make Troy, NY and the rest of the capital region a place for other bands to make tour stops at. and Brian's Overcast band is considered the original metal-core band, spawning 1000's of other metal-core bands. But now they suck? everyone on here would trade places with them in a second. it's ok for a band to be popular.
I'm not a huge Shadows Fall fan but hey, metal is metal. And when I hear that there is going to be metal on national TV, I to get reaalll excited. If you thought this is amazing, just wait till Megadeth comes. Dave will melt your face!
a loooong time ago i thought shadows fall had some promise but each and every album sounds more and more boring and uninspired than the next. you can just listen to the music and tell that these guys just don't care anymore. one of the most bland metal bands i have ever heard. it's a shame because they (vocalist not included) are very talented musicians. but this is just metal by numbers pure and simple. shit like this makes me look forward even more to the new nevermore album (whenever that comes out) and the new Necrophagist album (whenever that comes out too).

but whatever, metal on tv is good
