OCEANO is holding a video contest, to see who can make the best, most descriptive, funny, or insightful home video/webcam video! We want to know why YOU Thrash and Burn - why you got into aggressive/heavy music, and why the metal/hardcore subcultures spoke to you? We will judge the best video overall, and there will only be ONE winner!
The winner will receive: A Case of NoS Energy Drink and NoS Gear, an OCEANO and DESPISED ICON merch package, A Gift Certificate from Musician's Friends, Free Tickets to the THRASH AND BURN in your state, and SIDESTAGE View of the Show!

i first got into metal/deathcore or whatever music when i was not that young but a still a lil bit. i was watching a tv show called d-stroy and it was playing like metal death metal hardcore deathcore music ans i was like woww its not that bad ans started to always listen to that type of music. sooo i changed my type of music from rap and rnb music to metal deathcore hardcore music like emmure despised icon oceano, etc. (wich i really like all of these bands). and that type of music help me passing through hard part of my life (like disease and everything..), and because its a really brutal type of music, even in shows :). soo..this is why i love that music and ill always love it

i first got into metal when i heard soulfly's first cd,than my life changed i wanted to find harder and harder music than i found cannibal corpse,when i first heard the acacia strain in 2004 i was hooked and cant turn this music off, i love this heavy music i think because im a naturally ANGRY person and it's nice to know other people out there feel the same way i do, i think the acacia strain,emmure,OCEANO are leading the way for new and harder music

I first got into deathcore when my best friend Kyle showed me job for a cowboy, and I loved it, job for a cowboy was the band that got me to like heavier and heavier music like OCEANO, Twitch of the Death Nerve, Annotations of an Autopsy, etc. So Kyle basically changed the kind of music I listen to from Slipknot & Metallica(who are *danishes) to Job For A Cowboy & Oceano(who are the best)
