Behemoth Vocal Cover Contest entry by the Odious
I respect the gods of behemoth and their reign of terror, and I feel I have compiled the best, most worthy vocal cover of “OV FIRE AND THE VOID”. I have been working on my screaming for a good two years now, playing in a band with my friends. My drummer and I worked really hard on this video, by me doing the vocals the song, but also experimenting with some effects and double tracking.

Behemoth Vocal Cover Contest entry by Ryan.Strain
My friend Alex and I present to you, a little dual cover. Ryan Strain (Me) on vocals, Alex Costello on Lead and Rhythm guitar. There's a clip at the very end of just the vocal track, so you'll know that it's all me that you hear. We will win, because we are Ryan and Alex, the new gods of heavy fuckin metal. And Alex needs a new guitar... ...and I need a new shirt.

Behemoth Vocal Cover Contest entry by JSG
I feel that I should win the vocal cover contest because I put so much heart, soul, and time into this, when time is the last thing I have right now. Just became a first time father on December 28th. I was so obsessed with this contest that I filmed my wife two days before she had the baby so that I could get video of her pregnant, and then later handing my son to me (just like in the Behemoth video). That takes dedication folks! I worked very hard to make this different than all the others I’ve seen. I wanted to give you something extra, especially during the parts where there are no vocals. I spent many hours on this, so I hope you find it worthy of this amazing contest. Besides all that, I’m 35 years old. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 10, and it has ALWAYS been metal. I’m a lifetime devotee. I think Behemoth are the masters of this style and it has been a pleasure to compete in something bearing their name, regardless of the outcome. Damnit I want that guitar!!!

Behemoth Vocal Cover Contest entry by Erebus
Here is my cover for Ov Fire And The Void. I recorded my vocals in my friend's bedroom using Audacity and Garageband, adding a bit of reverb so that they would blend in smoothly with Nergals vocals and the rest of the song. Then I filmed myself headbanging and growling to the song in the garage. I took out the sound from the video and replaced it with my vocal cover, mainly so that I wouldn't have to keep redoing it in case I screwed up or got way out of breath from the motions of headbanging (I'm a little guy with a small set of lungs so I did this to avoid getting worn out). Also so I could included the vile painting of The River Styx, as the video's background, because I thought fit it nicely with the song and atmosphere. Normally I don't like glorify myself, but if I had to describe why I think I should win the contest it would be because of the emotion and work I put into my performance. The song, as well as others by Behemoth, brings me feelings of ecstasy and of being empowered, and I tried to convey this in my cover, especially when I did the growl and vomitous blackened scream towards the end on a whim. So that's all I suppose. Thanks for the opportunity.

Behemoth Vocal Cover Contest entry by Will_Ov_Therion
The video was recorded by Tony Kalaj, and also edited. I have been a die hard and loyal Behemoth fan for over 5 years now, and am proud to do this in their honor. I also wouldn't say I am completely without talent, hence forth I believe I should win; but that is for you guys to decide. I hope you enjoy!

I think I should win because I am a diehard Behemoth fan. I have every album released and can’t wait for more! I gave this my all and hopefully it was enough. It would be an absolute honor to lay my hands on the same axe that Nergal uses! I don't have any fancy equipment, so I just used what I had, which was a little digital camera. Thanks Behemoth for making such killer music!

I think I should win because I've loved Behemoth for a long time, and I've been doing these vocals ever since I saw Behemoth perform at Ozzfest '08. Since then I've basically been the guy who periodically runs around and pretends to be Nergal, so when my friend saw this post, he instantly linked me to it. Also I've been bitching about being too broke to afford a seven string for about a year now. This contest is just too convenient for my life, so that's why I'm entering. My video is basically me dicking around trying to get a couple of laughs.

I chose to forsake using expensive recording and filming equipment and just record it with a digital camera. I feel that even though it won't sound nearly as polished, it's more honest that way. No fancy editing, no fancy microphone, just me and my trusty Beta 58. I thought I put forth a pretty good effort; I won't ever say that I'm better or worse than anyone else competing, but I do feel safe in saying that I have my own style and intensity that will hopefully be perceived as unique and considered for winning. Thank you for watching, and thank you Behemoth for continuously pumping out awesome tunes!
