My name is Andrew Hislop, I'm 16, and have been playing drums for 3 years. This is August Burns Red's version of Carol Of The Bells that i covered for the August Burns Red/metalinjection contest. I have practiced a lot for this and it would be such a blessing to win a Truth Custom snare drum on top of a Ziljian Oriental china. This snare would mean a great deal to me in my drumming career considering my snare is probably worth $60 from a VERY low end kit that i got with a low end cymbal pack at Guitar Center. A clip of my band performing at the 2010 Wakefield High Talent show (shot with a relatively shitty camera). A few mistakes, I am aware my voice sounds incredibly flat (it's the combination of the mic and the camera, listen to the crowd if you don't believe I can sing), but it was the first time our band performed live, and I have to say, honestly, it was the best debut I could have hoped for. Attack Attack! Stick Stickly
What happens when you take every bad cliche about metalcore videos and stick them all into one? Well, Attack Attack! can tell you, because they did it with their new video for Stick Stickly. I was watching Headbangers Ball on Saturday night (big mistake, I know) and this video came on (above) and I was amazed! It sounded like two different songs from the same album being played at once. And then, during the last 30 seconds or so, it sounds like a completely different album from a different band being played. Seriously, guys WTF? Oh and please stop with the choreographed headbangs and the super-squatting (more examples here and here). It looks like you need to badly take a dump.
