Behemoth Vocal Cover Contest entry by Damien
I think I should win because Behemoth is my favorite band. I consider Nergal's vocals to be one of the most brutal voices around, and spent a few hours going over the song, trying to figure out how he does it. After realizing the scientific approach was the wrong way to go about this, and that replicating his voice in any safe manner was almost impossible, I said screw it and I winged it. This is what I came up with. I figured the best approach was to just be natural. There you go. The video itself is simple. This is the first take, and only take. I just started recording with my digital camera. I sat it on my desk with my hand painted mushroom cloud in the background hiding the various pink stuffed animals and Justin Timberlake posters I'd rather the folks at Metal Injection not see. Unfortunately, the speaker for the camera is a bit weak so to compensate I decided to plug in and fire up the amps. Plus it's more comfortable to be singing into something. By the way, my name is Ricky, and I'm the singing lummox in the video. Posted by Damien | Added 2 months ago | Views:: 385 1 horns up |
