Behemoth Vocal Cover Contest entry by pmilligan
My video was recorded at an abandoned textiles factory in Oswego, NY (old warehouses = good acoustics?). I am a huge fan of Behemoth and their Polish brothers Vader and Decapitated, and I've been following the band since their transition period (around when Pandemonic Incantations was released). I've pre-ordered the last three albums and with the latest, the band is still evolving and improving their sound and lyricism. I've seen the band live in Rochester, NY and even made the 5 hour drive to see them in Worcester, MA a couple of times, and they put on an excellent show. I also made a trip to Ozzfest a couple of years ago just to see Behemoth and Nile on the second stage. I should win this contest because I have been lurking on YouTube doing vocals at an amateur level for a few years and I think that I have some talent and a lot of energy. I have always been impressed by the amount of power behind Nergal's vocals, and that is something I tried to emulate with this cover. I have never been in a band, but I would like to join one or start one, and winning this contest would give me a boost in that direction.
