TOOL Officially Announce Summer 2017 U.S. Tour Dates, More Coming?

Last week, Tool teased some new tour dates, and dang it – they've delivered.

Moments ago, Tool posted on their Facebook page alerting fans "We are very excited to announce that TOOL will be bringing their unparalleled sonic and visual experience to a select number of cities in May and June 2017."  It doesn't look like the west coast is getting much love on this run of dates. Here is the routing as it's currently announced:

05/24 Fairfax, VA – Eaglebank Arena
05/27 Bangor, ME – Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion
05/28 Allston, MA – Harvard Athletic Complex (‘Boston Calling‘)
05/30 Rochester, NY – Blue Cross Arena
05/31 Hamilton, ON – First Ontario Centre
06/02 Montreal, QC – Bell Centre
06/04 Randall’s Island Park, NY – Governors Ball Music Festival
06/05 Pittsburgh, PA – Petersen Events Center
06/07 Clarkston, MI – DTE Energy Music Theatre
06/08 Rosemont, IL – Allstate Arena

All shows go on sale this Friday, March 17th at 10am local time, except for the Chicago show, which goes on sale at 11am. VIP packages go on sale this Wednesday, March 15 at 10am local time for Tool Army members.

The Tool Facebook page alerts fans to keep checking back for more shows, so perhaps these aren't the only stops on the tour? We'll keep you posted.

Could we finally hear new music on this tour? The band already teased a new passage during live dates last year. We named Tool's forthcoming record one of the most anticipated releases of the year, could we actually get it in 2017? Shortly after Adam Jones revealed the band completed another arrangement, we heard, Maynard James Keenan was finally working on vocals.
