SUMMER SLAUGHTER 2012 Headliners Confirmed

Summer Slaughter Tour headliners

We've been speculating that Cannibal Corpse and Between The Buried and Me would be the headliners for the 2012 edition of the Summer Slaughter tour, and today we can officially confirm that as fact. The Summer Slaughter Facebook page, which has become the main hub for all Slaughter-related news released the photo attached to this post, revealing the two headliners, and also promising to reveal a new band every Sunday night, which from a marketing perspective is pretty smart, but from a fan perspective, it's just like…TELL ME ALREADY.

To reiterate our previous speculation, other acts rumored to be on the bill include The Faceless, Job For A Cowboy, Veil of Maya, and Hate Eternal, which would make this quite a crushing lineup, if you ask this patron. Will you be attending Summer Slaughter?

    ehh I'm sure we could do without "Between The Buried And Me" but then again, there is always that "one band"

    I for one am glad that btbam are there. But I'm not for cannibal tho. And I'm not the only one. I'm not a "true" or elitist metalhead, but I know some who are and are bummed about them being there, mainly because "they always are". Also I really hope that rumored lineup is true, cuz it's sick. But I really hope the other rumors of adding periphery and all shall perish, along with structures, is true too. Now THAT would be sofa king sweet!

    I don't mind the two bands, different ends of the extreme metal spectrum. But it looks like I will be going for the first acts, they always got pretty good opening acts.

    I would like to go to summer slaughter cause I want to see Cannibal Corpse and I hope some of the rumored bands go cause I want to see The Faceless

    great lineup, based on the speculation. ive also been reading suffocation, obituary, and exhumed. personally, i think the latter is the most likely out of those three. but hopefully, structures is not on this bill; i wouldnt exactly consider them extreme metal.
