The Summer touring schedule is heating up. Just announced is the lineup for this year's Summer Slaughter festival. The Black Dahlia Murder, who headlined the second iteration of the fest a few years ago, will return to headline once again, and will no doubt be supporting a new record. Providing direct support will be Whitechapel, who just a few years ago were the opening back on the tour. Rounding out the support will be Darkest Hour, Six Feet Under, Dying Fetus, As Blood Runs Black, Oceano, Fleshgod Apocalypse and a "special halftime show" by Powerglove. The promoters of the tour are also asking the fans to vote for the opening band on the tour. Full tour dates are expected to be announced on 4/20.

    Pretty weak compared to last year, besides Black Dahlia, Fleshgod, and Powerglove this tour is weak IMO. Hopefully they get a sweet opening band for the tour it might convince me to go.

    I'm stoked as fuck to see the Fetus again, and I've just recently created a taste for Whitechapel. Saw Darkest Hour (meh), and Six Feet Under will kill. This should be a good show.

    what the heck happened, who chose all of these bands? last years summer slaughter was pure awesomeness compared to this, whoever made the decision to finalize this band list should be scalped. dying fetus is the only thing that is exciting about this bill. i hope this is an april fools joke or i will be missing my first summer slaughter tour, You want real metal heads to show up and have a great show think morbid angel, deicide, decapitated, cannibal, gwar, nile, behemoth, psycroptic, psyopus, origin, blotted science, someone that is worth playing with dying fetus! please please be an april fools joke!!!!!!! signed

    TBDM-Sick Live!! White Chapel-Boaring Deathcore : ( Darkest Hour-decent. Six Feet Under-never seen them live. Dying Fetus-Heaviest and most talented Band on this tour! As Blood Runs Black – Boaring Deathcore :( Oceano- Terrible Boaring Deathcore :( :( Fleshgod Apocalypse – Heavy and decent. Power Glove – Funny I guess. So 6 good bands 3 gay ones. So I'll go, but this line up could be better!!! Hopefully the other band TBA is on par with Dying Fetus, so like Obscura, Psycropitc, Abysimal Dawn, or Hate Eternal would help!!

    This is about a 50/50 lineup. 5 bands I would love to/wouldn't mind seeing, and the rest I'm not at all excited for, and honestly wish they would just…go away.

    damn this looks like an amazing line up, i don't get all these whiny post's on here, must be from emo's scared of brutal awesomeness and good metal…. whitechapel i've seen 3 times, every show was definitely amazing, i've also seen darkest hour, as blood runs black, BDM, and oceano a couple of times too and always a good experience. i'm stoked to see flesh god and dying fetus, been listening to them for quite a while now but haven't had the opportunity to see them live so i am definitely happy about this tour

    I would love to see Black Dahlia Murder, but Oceano and Whitechapel are bumming me out, but I still think it is worth going to. There haven't been too many "perfect" tours ever. I went to a Folly reunion show and two out of the four bands sucked, but it was still definitely worth going to.

    holy shit IVE ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE!! this will be my 3rd time seeing fetus, whitechapel, and my 2nd time seeing dahlia, im not the biggest darkest hour fan and chris barnes sounds like a toilet now so idk y they put 6ft on there, im an oceano fan and idk im not too familiar with abrb…the first thing im noticing is that this is the smallest lineup ive seen yet for summer slaughter, but OH MY FLESHGOD, that alone is making me go

    i have yet to see SWWAATS, Disentomb, Guttural Secrete (razorized ball gag is the most brutal song of all time, no questions asked), Nile, Skinless, Retch, Embryonic Devourment, Dismember, Incantation, Annotations of an Autopsy, Burning Skies, Suicide Silence, Malevolent Creation, Destruction, Havok, and Kreator on the Summer Slaughter lineup (if you havent heard of any of these bands, look em up theyr awesom especially swwaats and havok)

    It may be because I'm borderline obsessed with Black Dahlia, but I'm more than willing to travel wherever the hell I have to go to see this tour. As far as I'm concerned it's worth it just for Black Dahlia, but Fleshgod and Dying Fetus are icing on the cake. I don't hate the others, but I'm not a huge fan of them.
