Aww shit. It is with great honor, that we here at Metal Injection present to you ANOTHER killer tour we are sponsoring, the biggest shredfest of the Summer: SUMMER SLAUGHTER 2009. As revealed in our interview with Mohamed last year, NECROPHAGIST will be back headlining supporting their new release which is slated to come out in the summer, and co-headlining will be the death metal gods in SUFFOCATION. Also confirmed for the entire run of the tour will be DARKEST HOUR, WINDS OF PLAGUE, DYING FETUS, BORN OF OSIRIS, ORIGIN and AFTER THE BURIAL. On the first half of the tour, BENEATH THE MASSACRE and DECREPIT BIRTH will also be on the bill, with ENSIFERUM and BLACKGUARD taking over during the second half. No official routing has been announced, but as soon as we get that information we will bring it to you. What do you think of this lineup? Let us know in the comments.

    This is the most random lineup I've seen of any touring festival this year. Ensiferum and Darkest Hour are a pleasant surprise, but the stew of mediocre mallcore bands among the likes of Necrophagist and Suffocation is a clusterfuck if I've seen one.

    Bringing in more people! Granted they're gonna be shitty HxC kids, but hopefully it'll get them to listen to the other bands there as well. Also, I like that fact they're on this because the chick who plays keyboards is fucking HOT!

    I like this lineup.

Necrophagist and Suffocation will destroy along with DYING FETUS but darkest hour is way out of place and their fans will sadly parish at the shows and feel the effect but on a HIGHer note and this is huge for After The Burial, i challenge anyone to listen to their new CD "Rareform" and tell me its not amazing.

    oh! WOP and Emmure played here (Cincinnati) not too long ago. Pretty damn close to being sold out, so any where near here like Louisville, Lexington, Cincinnati, etc. will be packed as fuck.

    holy fuck…my grandma and grandpa are coming down this week and they are HUUUUUGE fucking Winds of Plague fans. these two old fucks throw down in the pit, crowd surf and fuckin stage dive with a walker like no other motherfuckers youve ever seen!! granny blew the drummer of Vital Remains last year on that tour. sick old broad.
