Steve Grimmett of Steve Grimmett's Grim Reaper recently got an awesome-looking leg prosthetic after a not-so-awesome emergency leg amputation mid tour. Now, nearly six months to the day since Grim Reaper's untimely tour cancellation, the band has been announced to play London’s Metal Brew Festival on July 15!
Here's what the festival organizers had to say about the addition to the lineup.
“This year we are honoured to host Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper’s UK come back show! As most of you will know, Steve was taken seriously ill in January this year whilst the band were in Ecuador. This resulted in Steve having most of his right leg amputated. Since then he has taught us all the meaning of perseverance and positivity and just six months later is ready to get back on stage. We hope you will join us in giving him a hero’s welcome for what is set to be an amazing show!”
We wish Grimmett a speedy recovery and a quick learning process with the new leg, and of course we hope the gig goes well!
