Is this real life?

On December 29, 2017, The Dillinger Escape Plan are playing a show at Terminal 5 and then breaking up. That show is already sold out. The night before is already sold out as well. They added a third show, on December 27th and I guess they wanted to encourage fans to pick up tickets for the show, so they just made a pretty killer announcement.

The legendary Mike Patton will join the band for the December 27th show to play their landmark 2002 EP, Irony Is A Dead Scene. Tickets are still available. Guitarist and founder Ben Weinman commented "Yep. We held a few tickets for this announcement. Don't sleep on this. It will never happen again."

Irony Is A Dead Scene was considered a turning point for the band, where they introduced a bit more melody and electronic elements to their more spastic style of the earlier records. Seeing Patton perform the tracks with Dillinger was always a bucket list moment for me, so I'm excited that the band will finally do it at one of their final shows. Stop reading and get yourself a ticket!
