METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH, ANTHRAX to play together on one stage… in Europe

You know, I consider myself really lucky to have grown up in New York. It's a prime market, and we get a lot of metal shows that come through here. But god damn, do I wish I lived in Europe sometimes for lineups such as the one in the flyer above. All year we've been yapping about the Big Four and if they will be touring and saying how it could never happen. Well, it is happening and one fine European festival organizer is making it happen, with the Sonisphere series of festivals. Also, the Czech Republic gets Heaven and fucking Hell AND Mastodon too? Reee-dic-u-lous! The four bands will play two of these festivals together, the Czech Republic (as shown in the flyer above) and three days prior on June 16, 2010 in Poland (without Heaven and Hell but with Behemoth).     From what I heard on ThePRP, Metallica confirmed they will be doing a North American run and will release dates in the future. Personally, I think they just want to make sure the 4 of them can work together and figure it's easier to give it a test run in Europe first so they are confident the 4 of'em can blow our fucking minds outta our asses when they come to North America….again, just my opinion anyways

    Can I get a link to the official statement of that?! I am so there once it's in the states. I'm an avid fan of all but Anthrax really. I'll have to pick more of their stuff up.
    (Oh, and hopefully Megadeth being 2nd support will put Mustaine's ego in check.)
