I just got a press release that started like this:
Live music’s premier hologram production company Eyellusion, today revealed initial dates for “DIO Returns: The World Tour,” featuring a hologram of Ronnie James Dio reunited with the late rock star’s former bandmates from the DIO Band.
I don't know, the idea of a premier hologram production company is funny to me. We knew the Dio Hologram tour was coming.
The press release notes that over 80 dates are planned worldwide and the first round have been announced:
November 30 – The Circus – Helsinki, Finland
December 3 – Fryshuset – Stockholm, Sweden
December 4 – Rockefeller Music Hall – Oslo, Norway
December 6 – Progresja – Warsaw, Poland
December 13 – Bikini – Barcelona, Spain
December 15 – Escenario Santander – Santander, Spain
December 17 – Arelene Romane – Bucharest, Romania
December 20 – Trix – Antwerp, Belgium
December 21 – 013 – Tilburg, Netherlands
The press release notes U.S. dates would happen in 2018, with stops planned for Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Paraguay, United Kingdom, Venezuela.
As for Dio, "the Ronnie James Dio hologram will perform for the majority of the show, treating fans to an alternating set list that will feature songs such as Rainbow In The Dark, We Rock, Neon Nights, King of Rock & Roll, Man On The Silver Mountain, Heaven & Hell, Holy Diver and more."

The DIO hologram made it's debut at Wacken 2016 to mixed reactions. I guess if you think this is gross, you can just skip it. Nobody is putting a gun to your head here and some people want to hear the Dio classics live.
