Deftones have a new album coming out in April, we know this much has been confirmed, and a few days after, the band have announced a mini-tour of Texas. But what are they not telling us?

You'll notice the band is free on March 17th and 18th. And, let's see… what else is happening that week in Texas? Oh, yeah! South by Southwest, of which the music portion is scheduled to go down between March 15 – March 20, 2016. And what major city is between San Antonio and Dallas?
Wouldn't you know it… Austin, the location of SXSW is right smack in the middle of two of their dates. So, it's safe to say the band have some plans for SXSW but aren't revealing them yet.
We can confirm Deftones are not playing the annual Metal Injection showcase, but we do have a killer lineup which we will announce shortly.
