CYNIC to Share the Stage with PUBLIC ENEMY and Members of WU-TANG CLAN at Charity Gig

It's for charity!

Cynic will be performing at the Free and Equal Elections Foundation's upcoming United We Stand festival on May 10 at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)'s Pauley Pavilion.

The band will also be joined on stage by Public Enemy and members of Wu-Tang Clan, which should be extremely interesting to say the least! I'm hoping for an on-stage collaboration between the bands, because why wouldn't there be? Drummer Sean Reinert is ridiculously good and Paul Masvidal is an incredibly versatile guitarist and composer! Plus both of them are very interested in electronica/trip-hop type stuff as they showcased on their 2010 remix EP Retraced, so hopping in on a improvisational rap jam session wouldn't be too far-fetched, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.

More info on the fest can be found here.

Cynic's Kindly Bent to Free Us comes out February 18th.
