BEHEMOTH Banned At Ohio Venue Over Religious Beliefs
- Posted by Nic Huber on April 4, 2012
Some people apparently just can't deal with Satan, as the owners of The Brewmaster's Gate in Columbus, Ohio banned Behemoth, Watain, The Devil's Blood, and In Solitude from performing April 11th due to religious conflicts. The show has been moved to Alrosa Villa (if that name sounds familiar, it just happens to be the venue that Dimebag was tragically murdered at). Tickets can be purchased at this location. Nergal stated this in Metal Blade's press release:
"Wow, big motherfuckin' WOW! We are facing a legendary moment: Amerika, the land of the free, is banning Behemoth coz of religious beliefs. The madness starts in Ohio, but of korz we are playing anyway. Nothing can stop us now. God, please save me from this freedom…"
The inaugural Decibel Magazine Tour will be the first trip back to the United States for Behemoth since Nergal was diagnosed with leukemia, and, according to the Behemoth frontman, it will be the "most satanic tour" to come to the United States in a "long time".
