Agalloch, those Portlandian princes of blackened folk metal, are taking to the road this summer to support the release of their upcoming fifth album The Serpent and the Sphere. Over the course of the band's 17 year career, they've build a reputation as innovators in the US extreme metal scene as well as intense live performers. They aren't exactly road dogs, so, if you want to see them live, snatch up tickets to one of these dates if it's near you lest you be forced to wait a few years for another chance.

Denizens of America's west coast may note a distinct lack of tour dates in your time zone, but, rest assured, Agalloch haven't forgotten about you. According to the band's Facebook page, they're currently working on booking a west coast tour as well. Profound Lore Records is releasing The Serpent and the Sphere in North America on May 13th.
