Rock & Hip Hop World Pay Tribute To Late LINKIN PARK Frontman Chester Bennington
The entire music community is still shocked at the revelation that Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington died via suicide earlier today in his home just outside Los Angeles.
The unexpected news was confirmed by Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda, and the news spread very quickly throughout the music world with everybody from rockers to hip hop musicians to pro wrestlers and race car drivers paying tribute. Here are some of the ones we found. If you or a loved one is feeling distressed, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. There is always somebody there to talk to you.
Shocked and heartbroken, but it's true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.

So shocked and saddened by the news of Chester Bennington's passing. I remember the first time I met Chester. I was in a bad mood backstage and he came into the dressing room and lifted my spirits before I took the stage. Working with Chester and Linkin Park on the song 'Rebellion' was some of the most fun I've had collaborating with another artist. They made me feel right at home when I joined them on stage at the Hollywood Bowl and at the Forum. Our hearts go out to Linkin Park and to Chester's family. Chester Bennington will be missed. -Daron Malakian

Horrible shocking and sad… we spent some fun hours together inside studios over the years, helping to promote your music and proudly knowing how your band helped so many get into this music in the first place. But disgusted (EDIT- that was a bad word choice on my part – I was in heat of it and I don't want his actions to inspire others) w how you ended it. It didn't have to be this way. Thoughts, prayers and positive vibes to your family, friends and fans worldwide. RIP Chester… 🙏🏽 (Feb 2017 📸 @siriusxm NYC)

RIP Chester. We lost another voice of a generation today. I'd like to remind everyone that follows me that you are never alone. Life is fucking hard and every single one of us has beasts inside of us that we battle daily. And as humans… do your part. Stop with the cyber bullying, and hating people for stupid reasons. How about instead leave up lifting messages of hope and love and rock n roll. Just one word of kindness can change someone's life…I've seen it in my line of work…you are powerful enough to help someone or hurt someone…so choose to spread positivity. Chester, you will be missed, and I'm sorry that you felt like you had to leave this way. But all of the people that you've healed through your music, we Thank you for your time here and your music will live on through us!
