Sad news for Nothingface fans, longtime vocalist Matt Holt passed away late last week. Holt died in his Maryland home on April 15, 2017. He was 39 years old.
According to a press release, he'd been battling a degenerative illness for several years, and finally lost that battle. He is survived by his parents and his younger brother.
Nothingface started in the 90s but came into its own in the aughts, namely landing second-stage gigs on Ozzfest and releasing five studio albums. The band eventually disbanded in 2004, before getting back together in 2005 and then finally disbanding for good in 2009. Guitarist Tom Maxwell went on to join HELLYEAH.
