New England Metal and Hardcore Fest Adds DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Amongst Others To 2013 Lineup

When the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest announced their initial lineup a few weeks ago, it was already unfuckwithable. Anthrax (playing Among The Living), Opeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Hatebreed, Exodus, Shadows Fall…and others were already enough to get me excited.

Today, they announced the addition of a few new bands, including The Dillinger Escape Plan. (more…)

Scream It Like You Mean It Tour Officially Has Most Confusing Routing Ever

In all my years of writing about music (damn, it's almost a decade now..) never have I come across a tour routing as confusing as the Scream It Like You Mean It Tour. It's actually two (or maybe three) tours that run separately at some points and then intersect at others for mega-shows. I think? It's sort of three different tours, the two singular tours and then the third, combined Voltron tour. I am a fan of some of the bands on the tour like The Acacia Strain and The Chariot, and then not so crazy about others like Attack Attack! and Impending Doom. New England Metal & Hardcore Festival 2012 Lineup Announced (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Headline)

The fine folks behind the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival got an early start on announcing the lineup for this year's event. The fourteenth iteration of the festival will go down from Friday April 20th until Sunday the 22nd, three days of metallic hardcore madness. There is a lot of variety on the bill this year, with the main headliners being Killswitch Engage, Black Dahlia Murder, Every Time I Die, The Acacia Strain, Overkill, Periphery and one more surprise headliner to be announced on January 2nd. NORMA JEAN, SLEEPING GIANT, THE CHARIOT Announce Summer Tour

Here's another touring Summer festival to wet your whistle: the Scream The Prayer tour. Something tells me there could be a common thread tying all these bands together and his initials may be J.C. The bands announced for the bill are Norma Jean, Sleeping Giant, The Chariot, War Of Ages, Close Your Eyes, Texas In July, I The Breather, The Great Commission, Sovereign Strength & As Hell Retreats.
