Don't Hold Your Breath For New SLIPKNOT In 2013
It seemed so promising. Slipknot booked a Japanese date on Ozzfest and announced they will be a part of this year's Download Festival. Previously, members of the band (namely Joey Jordison) have said that once Corey Taylor and Jim Root wrap up their tour cycle with their other project, Stone Stour , which he hoped would be in early 2013, the band would enter the studio to finally work on new material.
But, according to Corey Taylor, it look likes Stone Sour will be busier than planned, and not finished with their touring until 2014 at the earliest. (more…)

SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor Wants To Collaborate With Justin Bieber?!
Last year, some musical genius combined Slipknot's "Psychosocial" with 18 year old pop star Justin Bieber's "Baby" into a pretty impressive mashup. While I am not to judge one for their personal musical tastes, a Justin Bieber fan I am not. But this was a good mashup.
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor is also a fan, saying that he's invited Biebz to perform the mashup in person. (more…)

Here's How SLIPKNOT's Corey Taylor Got Into Metal
Not all of us are thrashing to Slayer out of the womb… it all takes progress. And I love hearing about people's journeys.
Coolest motherfucker in music, Dave Grohl is working on a new documentary about the legendary recording studio, Sound City. Part of the film sees many famous musicians discussing their first musical memories. We've already talked about Lars' first memories previously, now let's focus our eye on the Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman, Corey Taylor: (more…)

Yes, There Is Another New STONE SOUR Song Available For Streaming
Last week, we posted the new Stone Sour video for "Gone Sovereign" and it was quite a ripper, but more on the hard rock side. Today, the band unleashed a new track, "RU486" which leans much heavier on the metal side. I'm really enjoying these two tunes, and I'm actually pretty pumped for the new album, House Of Gold & Bones: Part 1. Take a listen to the track: (more…)

Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria has made a living off this by illustrating the story line behind his band's albums. Other notable musicians who have dabbled in the comic book world include Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine and Gerard Way, front man for My Chemical Romance. (more…)

SLIPKNOT's Clown Says "Paul Gray Will Be A Part Of The Next Record"
Slipknot were deeply affected by the passing of their bassist, Paul Gray, after accidentally overdosing in 2010. The band have slowly been putting back the pieces, hitting the road in tribute to Paul and putting the wheels in motion on a new record. Everybody is writing, and it turns out before his passing, Paul Gray wrote some material that will most likely appear on the record according to percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan, who said: (more…)
