Metal Injection photographer Rodrigo Treco was on hand as Sevendust, Coal Chamber, Lacuna Coil and Stolen Babies rocked NYC's Best Buy Theater last week and he's checked in with another killer photo gallery. Check it out.
After spending some time in other projects for a short while, the members of Sevendust have gotten back together and produced a new album. Normally, in these cases, a band’s sound can totally change for better or for worse. And Sevendust fans come back album after album for their particular brand of catchy alt metal. I’m sure they’re all hoping that after a stint in other projects that they’ll still be able to amaze them. (more…)
"Unraveling" comes off SEVENDUST's new album, "Cold Day Memory"

Coal Chamber have announced they're getting the band back together for a national run of co-headlining dates with Sevendust, with support coming from Lacuna Coil as well as Stolen Babies and Candlelight Red on select dates. This will be Coal Chamber's first tour in 10 years. (more…)

Well, this is exciting (if it was 1999) but the 5th Music As A Weapon tour lineup has been announced. The package is curated by headliners Disturbed, who have invited Korn to co-headline the North American tour with them. Joining them on the trek will be Sevendust and In This Moment. This is a surprisingly low-key lineup for the tour, which has been known to have a second stage in the past.
It may be because they are NOT hitting major markets and thus might be playing smaller venues. The cities for the tour have been announced and one lucky city is home to the Icehogs and many Metal Injection fans: Rockford, IL. Here are the cities, as soon as the full routing is announced we will post it up: (more…)
There has been a lot of speculation about what's happening with this year's OZZFEST , but all of that was put to rest when the official announcement was made today. OZZFEST 2008 will be a one-day event on Saturday, August 9 at Pizza Hut Park in Dallas, Texas. There will be three stages and the lineup is as follows:
IN THIS MOMENT
All-Star Tribute To "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott
KINGDOM OF SORROW
Texas (Third) Stage which will pay "homage to the many great metal bands that come from Texas":
Looks like a pretty stacked lineup, for sure. Obviously, with it being Dallas, and Vinnie Paul being there, they almost have to do a Dimebag tribute, and it should be interesting to see with all those notable artists there. Would you guys go?
