RANDY BLYTHE, MAX CAVALERA and ROBB FLYNN Make Surprise Appearances At SUICIDE SILENCE Mitch Lucker Tribute Show (with video)
I am pretty jealous of those of you in the Los Angeles area who were able to witness the Suicide Silence "Ending Is The Beginning" Mitch Lucker Memorial Show, which happened last night, Dec. 21, 2012 at the Fox Theater in Pomona, CA. It looked like quite the celebration, with a few surprise vocalists thrown in to spruce things up.
Lamb of God's Randy Blythe, the legendary Max Cavalera of Soulfly and Sepultura and Machine Head's Robb Flynn were the surprise guests vocalists joining the already stellar cast of previously announced frontmen including Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying, Chad Grey of Hellyeah, Eddie Hermida of All Shall Perish, Phil Bozeman of Whitechapel among others.
The show was in tribute to Lucker, who crashed his motorcycle on Halloween night and died from the resulting injuries. All proceeds from the show when to the education fund of Mitch's daughter, Kenadee. While the entire night was filmed for a DVD, which will see eventual release, here are some solid cellphone bootlegs to give you an idea of the madness that ensued: (more…)

LAMB OF GOD Frontman Randy Blythe's Czech Trial Date Set
It's been a roller coaster year for Lamb of God and their frontman Randy Blythe. The began and ended the year on a high note, kicking off 2012 releasing their album Resolution and ending it with a very successful U.S. tour.
It's the middle of the year that wasn't so great for the band, as their frontman was detained in a Czech prison for 5 weeks. It would've been longer, but due to all the publicity, Blythe got out after putting up $400,000 in bail money.
From the moment he was released, Blythe vowed to return for the trial, and now we know what date that will be. (more…)

U.S. State Department Issues Statement On Randy Blythe Czech Trial
Leave it to the U.S. State Department to be on top of things. Last week, Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe was formally indicted on charges of manslaughter in the Czech Republic stemming from a 2010 concert in which the Czech government is alleging that Blythe pushed a fan off stage resulting in injuries that led to the fan's death later that night.
While Blythe spent five weeks in prison this summer, a petition was created to get some sort of response from the U.S. State Department. Five months later, State Deparment rep Michael Posner has issued this statement: (more…)

Czech Prosecutor To Decide Randy Blythe Trial's Fate This Month

It's been a few months since we've heard anything on the trial of Czech trial of Randy Blythe. LAMB OF GOD's Randy Blythe Talks About His Prague Prison Term
So I don't think it's news to anyone now that Randy Blythe spent five weeks in a Prague Prison on suspicion of manslaughter.
What may be news to some is that as soon as Randy was released and returned to the United states, he spoke to a local television news crew about the experience and the video is just now seeing the light of day. (Someone must be new at editing video…or just extremely slow) The video interview, which can been seen after the jump, features Randy Blythe talking about his experience in prison, including learning the language, how he passed the time and the fact that he will indeed be returning to Prague to clear his name. (more…)

LAMB OF GOD Holding Auction For Randy Blythe Defense Fund With Help From GWAR, MACHINE HEAD, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH
Being taken to court is not cheap. Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe might be riding high now that he's been released on bail from a Czech prison after being detained for 5 weeks on manslaughter charges, but a trial still looms, and bills are racking up. The band already opened a Randy Defense Fund previously for people to donate through PayPal, but now they are giving fans a bit more incentive, setting up some really cool auctions.
The band has posted some sweet Lamb of God guitars, drum heads, cymbals and even got some help from their friends. Machine Head and Five Finger Death Punch have contributed guitars, GWAR contributed a Dave Brockie original (gross) painting, Megadeth's Dave Ellefson contributed a bass and any of these items can be yours, and that money will go towards Randy's defense fund. So if you have a couple of hundos just burning a hole through your wallet, head over here to start bidding.
