Just Two Photos of Dimebag Darrell and LAMB OF GOD's Randy Blythe Hanging Out…
If you're on Instagram and not following Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe, you're doing it wrong. You won't see random selfies and pictures of food on his profile, but rather highly thought out photos with great stories behind them. The man is a great storyteller! Last night, two funny and touching photos popped up of Randy and the late great Dimebag Darrell. (more…)

Watch SEPULTURA, SLAYER, PANTERA, MEGADETH, MORBID ANGEL and More Jam Out In Their Practice Space
You often hear musicians talk about the importance of practicing an instrument, but it's not something you get to see them do regularly. I know for a fact band rehearsals are the least exciting part of being a musician, but it never really stopped me from collecting bootleg VHS practice tapes from bands I loved as a kid.
Maybe it was because you get to see the band in their own element, or even yell at each other for messing up a part. Maybe I'm just curious to see what tiny shitty practice space the band started out in, or even watch an unfinished song being worked out before it was recorded and became a song we all love. Needless to say, these types of videos are worth watching for all of these reasons.
Recently I stumbled across a practice session and it reminded me of my earlier fascination with these tapes. Naturally I decided to compile several awesome practice jams for you guys to enjoy. (more…)

Phil Anselmo Denies Talking To Zakk Wylde About PANTERA Reunion
A few weeks ago, the internet got all excited because Phil Anselmo stated that he discussed a potential Pantera reunion with guitarist Zakk Wylde, but ultimately said in order for it to happen drummer Vinnie Paul would have to make amends. Now, Phil is retracting the statement, and saying it was all taken out of context.
In a new interview with Ultimate-Guitar, Phil elaborated on his denial: (more…)

Phil Anselmo Says He's Discussed A PANTERA Reunion With Zakk Wylde
Not this again! Every few months a Pantera reunion with Zakk Wylde filling in for Dimebag rumor gets circulated, and every few months it gets shut down. Everybody seems to agree that if a theoretical reunion were to ever happen, Zakk Wylde would be the guy to fill in. Drummer Vinnie Paul said it himself, and Zakk said he would be honored to do so. According to a recent interview with the Village Voice, original vocalist Phil Anselmo and Wylde spoke recently about the possibility of such an event: (more…)

Can Everybody Please Stop Asking Vinnie Paul About A PANTERA Reunion?
Look, we get it. You need to get your story out there, and any mention of Pantera is a sure way to get things posted. Heck, I'm writing about it right now, and I've written about it before. But at this point, I just feel like we're repeating ourselves.
A few months ago, Zakk Wylde said he would be honored to step in for Dimebag Darrell for a Pantera reunion, but ultimately has said that he can't see it happening.
Ever since then, virtually every interview with Vinnie Paul, who is promoting his current band, Hellyeah, and their new album, Band of Brothers has had a question about reforming Pantera with Wylde or some different variant of the question and every time Paul has flat-out refused to go along. The 39 Best Worst Metal Tattoos In History
There is no doubt that band tattoos are the ultimate sign of appreciation and loyalty for your favorite artists, it's like a band T-shirt you can't get off. I also have no doubt that metal heads are some of the most passionate group of music enthusiasts out there, so it came as no surprise that I could find thousands of band tats out there ranging from a tiny mark to a full sleeve. The only problem with this awesome combination is tattoo artists in the world are much like the bands themselves, some are good, some are simply amazing, and others… well here is a list of some of the others guys. METAL MASTERS 4 in New York City To Feature PHIL ANSELMO, KERRY KING, SCOTT IAN, DAVE LOMBARDO and more
CLICK HERE to watch the stream of The METAL MASTERS
The last time the Metal Masters got together it was the night after the Revolver Golden Gods Awards and there was a ton of jamming, including Pantera tunes and a surprise appearance by Geezer Butler for some Black Sabbath jammage. You can watch footage from that show here. Good news for metalheads in the tri-state area, The Metal Masters clinics are coming back to New York City!
On September 7th at The Gramercy, the metal elite consisting of Philip Anselmo (Pantera/Down), Kerry King (Slayer), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Charlie Benante (Anthrax), Frank Bello (Anthrax) and newly added masters Billy Sheehan and Gary Holt (Exodus/Slayer) will be jamming out and spreading some knowledge. The way these have worked in the past, is a few of the masters come out for some playthroughs and some anecdotal advice for musicians and then it all gets bigger and bigger with a shit-ton of jamming, usually with an unannounced guest stopping by.
Tickets for the show are $29 after service fees and can be purchased here.

Phil Anselmo Confirms There Is No PANTERA Reunion with Zakk Wylde Planned
I don't understand this desire for a Pantera reunion with Zakk Wylde filling in for Dimebag. Just…no! Forget about the fact that Vinnie Paul and Phil Anselmo still aren't talking to each other, Vinnie Paul has said that while Zakk would be the guy, that a reunion will never happen. Because of this hearsay, during a recent radio station interview, Phil Anselmo was asked if there will ever be plans for a reunion with Wylde, and not surprisingly, his response was: (more…)
