A/V Roundup: CROWBAR & NEURAXIS Full Album Streams; New Music from CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, BATTILUS

What a great day for free metal music on the web. There is a ton of different shit to moisten those ear-vaginas and get you through your day. Let's get started:

Before I started writing this post, I got way baked and put on the new Crowbar album, Sever the Wicked Hand, which is streaming in full on AOL. I was not disappointed. At this point, how can you be disappointed with Crowbar? Kirk is the fucking riff master. The album comes out today. I recommend you go out and get it.

If slowed down groove isn't you thing, don't fret. Canadaian tech-death masters Neuraxis are streaming their new album, Asylon in full over at StereoKiller. Relentless is an understatement. The tech and the speed never let up. It's killer and comes out next Tuesday. Jam that shit!

Cavalara Conspiracy have made a full track available for free download (in exchange for your email address and a blood sample). The track is "Killing Inside" which they teased last week so fans should know what to expect.

Finally, if you really want to slow things down and get epic up in this bitch, you should check out the new Battilus track streaming over at our brohemian rhapsody's site MetalSucks.

MASSIVE Audio Roundup: New Music From CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, PROTEST THE HERO, DEVILDRIVER, DARKEST HOUR, WEEDEATER, NEURAXIS, SCALE THE SUMMIT

It's been a while since we've done an audio roundup, which means this is going to be a bit longer than your usual roundup. So I'll stop yapping and let's get to the music:'

YouTube Preview ImageCavalera Conspiracy have unleashed the first teaser (above) from their upcoming release, Blunt Force Trauma, for the track "Killing Inside" and guess what? It sounds exactly as you would expect a Max Cavalera track to sound. Not to say it's bad, it's pretty good…but they aren't exactly reinventing the wheel.

Protest The Hero just posted the first new track from their upcoming release, Scurrilous on their Facebook page. The track is "C'est La Vie." You don't even need to "like" them to hear it, they just let you stream it, and it's awesome. Highly recommended! Also, you can keep up with the band as they recorded their album via their Stewdio Pupdates.

DevilDriver have a new album, Beast, coming out in a few weeks and they are making sure you can hear new music from it before you choose to buy/download it. You can stream "Bring The Fight (To The Floor)" here and Coldblooded here

Darkest Hour's The Human Romance is upon us! It comes out February 22nd and you can stream two tracks from the album: Your Everyday Disaster and Savor The Kill. I'm really digging this new material from the band and I'm pretty pumped to hear the whole thing. If you recall, the band first discussed the new album exclusively with us on their most recent tour. Watch that interview here

OMFG! I'm glad I just burned one, because Weedeater is streaming a new track over at Brooklyn Vegan. Yes! I'm listening to the track as I write this blurb and the low-end on my speakers is about to burst. Just how I like it!

If you like your metal with a tinge of death and a splash of technicality, then check out this new track from Canada's Neuraxis.

Finally, if you want sit back and chill to an instrumental quartet that is really good at playing their instruments, then ride the groove waves provided by Scale The Summit as their track "Whales" has just premiered over at MetalSucks. I've heard their entire new album, The Collective, which comes out March 1st, and I can't get it out of my rotation. If you like bands like Cynic and Animals As Leaders, this one is a no-brainer!

So there you have it. Which tracks did you check out and which ones blew you away?

Audio Roundup: New music from CHILDREN OF BODOM, NEURAXIS & SYLOSIS

Time to kick 2011 off with a bang, with three new great tracks from equally great bands: Children of Bodom, Neuraxis and Sylosis. Here we go:

YouTube Preview Image

Above you can hear the first single, "Was It Worth It" from Children Of Bodom's upcoming release, Relentless, Reckless Forever. The track sounds totally like a new-era Bodom song, so don't expect any crazy departures. If you like the band, you will like the song. If you never checked them out, perhaps now is a time to do so? The album comes out March 8th, 2011.

If you really want to get your ass handed to you, head over to the Prosthetic Store to hear a new track from Montreal death metal experts Neuraxis. It's the title track from their forthcoming release, Asylum and it ruuuules. The album comes out February 15th.

Finally, Sylosis are set to release a new record in March themselves, and have put the first shredtastic sampling on their official website. The track, "Empyreal" kicks off with some shred and then moves into some sweet gallops and continues to rock all the way through. I'm pumped for this release.
