New England Metal and Hardcore Fest Adds DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN Amongst Others To 2013 Lineup

When the New England Metal and Hardcore Fest announced their initial lineup a few weeks ago, it was already unfuckwithable. Anthrax (playing Among The Living), Opeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Hatebreed, Exodus, Shadows Fall…and others were already enough to get me excited.

Circlepit To The New IRON REAGAN Song, From Members of MUNICIPAL WASTE & Ex-DARKEST HOUR

Iron Reagan have been working on new material for the better part of a year. The band features Municiapl Waste's Tony Foresta and Phil Hall on vocals and guitar respectively and former Darkest Hour drummer (and Metal Injection columnist) Ryan Parrish and bassist Paul Burnette.

HIGH ON FIRE Join ANTHRAX, EXODUS on METAL ALLIANCE Tour 2013; Dates Announced!

Metal Alliance is coming back in 2013 for it's third year, and it's coming back with a vengeance. Already, they have announced that Anthrax will be headlining the show playing their classic album Among The Living, one of the best releases of 1987. Also announced were Exodus, Municipal Waste and Holy Grail, which was already enough to make this killer bill unmissable.

The Metal Alliance Tour has been an excellent buffet of heavy metal every Spring, and next year year it seems like the buffet is getting a nice slab of classic thrash.

MUNICIPAL WASTE, NAPALM DEATH, EXHUMED Touring Together!

Another amazing tour has been announced. Thrash revivalists Municipal Waste and heading back out on the road and taking out the Godfathers of Grind, the GrindFathers if you will, Napalm Death. As if that wasn't enough, Exhumed is going on the road with these guys as well. Holy crap, that's a fantastic headbanging package. Album Review: MUNICIPAL WASTE The Fatal Feast

Crossover thrash is a genre that can be traced back to Join The Army era Suicidal Tendencies and the very obviously titled Crossover by party mongers Dirty Rotten Imbeciles. This is the main impetus for Richmond Virginia's Municipal Waste and what we get this time is a new label (Nuclear Blast) for the band's 5th album, and the same ol' Waste. I happened to catch the band at The Irish in Kearny NJ as one of their select few tour dates. After this they were about to start recording the new album; the day after that show. So here we are nearly 9 months later and the fruits of their labor now in front of us. (more…)
