Metal Injection photographer Rodrigo Treco was on hand as Sevendust, Coal Chamber, Lacuna Coil and Stolen Babies rocked NYC's Best Buy Theater last week and he's checked in with another killer photo gallery. Check it out.

No, you did not slip into a time machine and reach 1999. Coal Chamber have announced they're getting the band back together for a national run of co-headlining dates with Sevendust, with support coming from Lacuna Coil as well as Stolen Babies and Candlelight Red on select dates. This will be Coal Chamber's first tour in 10 years. (more…)
Quite a development recently. To backtrack, Century Media has filed a lawsuit in the state of New Jersey seeking damages over illegal downloads of Lacuna Coil's Dark Adrenaline and Iced Earth's Dystopia (without the band's consent).
Last week, 944 subpoenas were presented to Judge Faith S. Hochberg and all but one "John Doe" were rejected by the judge, for these reasons: (more…)
Lzzy Hale, and all of the rest of Halestorm couldn't be nicer when we met them on the black carpet of the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. They were completely humble and down to earth people, which is always nice to see. But Lzzy knows how to pose for a photo, and clearly the editors of Revolver are big fans as they have given her the cover of their annual Hottest Chicks In Hard Rock issue.
Also featured in the issue will be my favorite "hottest chick," Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil, Amy Lee of Evanescence, Maria Brink from In This Moment, the twins from Eyes Set To Kill and others. The issue hits news stands this Tuesday, September 4th. Here is what Lzzy had to say about being labeled a "hot chick": (more…)
Lacuna Coil are coming back to the US for their only major tour of 2012. To make it extra special, the band will be playing an extended set playing new songs and old classics, so it should be a real treat for Lacuna Coil fans. So far only a handful of dates have been announced and they are: (more…)
I had mentioned to a friend that I’d be reviewing Lacuna Coil’s newest album Dark Adrenaline for my first piece here at Metal Injection and his immediate response was “Dude, they’re totally hazing you”. And… yeah, I have to say that idea had crossed my mind, but fuck it. Let’s give this bad Larry a chance. (more…)

A/V Roundup: New METALLICA Anniversary Video, New Music From ELUVEITIE, THE HAARP MACHINE, LACUNA COIL
This week just flew by! I can't believe it's already Thursday. While things are moving slowly in the metal world, there were enough little bits of music to create the first A/V Roundup of 2012. Here we go:
If you're not sick of all this Metallica anniversary news, there is way better footage available for Mustaine jamming with them, as well as Jason Newstead abso-fucking-lutely crushing "Whiplash". Man, I wish he was still in the band. I've decided he was the coolest part of 'tallica. Anyway, you can scan through the 45 minute recap above, all the fun stuff happens about mid-way through. A few weeks ago Dave Mustaine revealed that the line-up for the 2012 iteration of Gigantour will feature Megadeth, Motorhead, Volbeat and Lacuna Coil. The tour kicks off on January 26th in Camden, NJ and goes on for a month, wrapping up in Denver, CO on February 28th. Here is the full listing of ates and venues: (more…)
Lacuna Coil's new single is now streaming on the band's Facebook page. It's total "chick metal," not to say that if you're a chick, you'll immediately like it, but it is just a mainstream hard rock song. Lacuna Coil is clearly going for that mainstream audience nowadays. "Trip The Darkness" is now available as a single on iTunes and will be released on the band's new album, Dark Adrenaline, out January 24th on Century Media. What do you think of the track?
